You can really tell that KyoAni's been working on this show for a long time. Few other TV anime have lighting, backgrounds, and character animation of this level.

I just watched the whole series yesterday, love it. This is a super well directed and well animated show from star to finish.

I'm worried that a second season will be here soon. I want a k-on second season thing where they improved everything instead of another Chuunibyo s2 situation again.
I don't think it'll be a keion case since that was kind of a production miracle, but I'd expect it to be at around the same level at least. Eupho's first episodes had relatively stiff character animation compared to the rest of the series due to the Kyoukai movie overlap, and this time they'll be wrapping up the film they're making earlier so hopefully that'll be less of an issue. If anything I'd worry about the direction since Yamada likely won't get to board many episodes again and Yukimura isn't around, but they had talent to spare in that regard.
For a not gay show, this show is really damn gay.
