What is the consensus when it comes to having posts of “1080 or 4K restoration” Sakuga? There’s some posts for the 4K restored Super Mario Bros. 80s anime movie, like here: https://www.sakugabooru.com/post/show/222527 , so I’m wondering if it’s better to use restored anime rather than the ogs that look grainier than sand on a beach, depending on the source of course.

I think the general rule is if there's a better source (DVD, BD, restoration, etc.) then it's the one to be used. I think overly grainy/blurry sources or TV airings are used if nothing else is available.
