Adore how akis grief looks and sounds here; he’s not screaming his ass off, he’s visibly holding back tears and then they pour out naturally. This scene and the one after it hit hard after finishing the series
I find it interesting that my favourite parts of Yoshihara's episodes end up being the quieter moments. He does such a good job at creating an atmosphere and paired up with the subtle character acting it really sells the emotion of the scene.
The sword and lighter scenes here are beautiful.
0:33 Does anyone feel that the shot here with the reflection is a bit off? Not hating, it's just that is seems that Aki's head and body isn't turned enough for his arm to reach the cigs.

Now that you mention it, I do see what you mean. I'm not sure if he's leaning forward or turning his waist, but either way, it seems like his arm extended further than his body did in the reflection. I also found that his arm moved before his whole body if you watch at 0.34 in 0.2X. Or maybe it's the direction of his hand and his body in the reflection that's confusing? Sorry that I'm nitpicking so profoundly, I only found it to be an interesting analysis. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
The detail at 1:04 with the flame lighting up his hand is nice
